Perfect Days

A comedy about a celebrity hairdresser from Glasgow. Barbs Marshall is successful, well-off, and has her own TV show, but at 39 years of age, her biological clock is ticking. Things are looking bad, but then she meets a 26-year-old stranger who seems more than ready to oblige

Management Teaching use: The successful hairdresser in this text is one who is apparently not focused so much on the business as on her personal life and desire for children. There are hints in the text that she might consider expansion; franchising is mentioned. There might be a useful discussion on what the owner of the salon could do to maintain the business but allow herself free time to pursue her desire for children. The subject of management and marketing development (the salon apparently has its own range of hair care products) are key here.
