The bibliography was compiled by Ruth Herman who joined the University of Hertfordshire Business School to teach Marketing and Public Relations after a career in industry as a Public Relations Manager. After a first degree in Literature with Historical Studies she progressed to a Ph.D. in English Literature and she also has an MA in Marketing and Organisational studies. Her publications span a wide range of topics from marketing through to literature and political propaganda. During her time at Hertfordshire she has become increasingly interested in the way these seemingly disparate areas can be usefully combined, particularly in teaching students how to think creatively. Her own experience in using literature on postgraduate programmes has demonstrated just how useful a tool it can be.
